Xiaomi Black Shark 2 launched in India; here’re the specs, features, price in India

Gaming smartphone Black Shark 2 is launched in India with two variants at a starting price of Rs 39,999 — 6 GB RAM along with 128 GB storage and 12 GB storage variant with 256 GB. Black Shark 2 has been launched in China in March. The Original Black Shark was released with a Bluetooth gamepad in April last year. The Black Shark 2 is the Black Shark and Black Shark Helo’s successor. The smartphone has a “Ludicrous Mode” that allows games to be played using full CPU power for gamers. Compared to other gaming phones such as Asus’ Rog Phone, the phone is more affordable. Black Shark is the Xiaomi ecosystem company, but the gaming company will be operating independently in India.

Black Shark 2 features a Full HD+ resolution to discuss the specifications and supports HDR+ colors. It has an AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor will power the device with onboard storage of up to 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB. The Liquid Cool 3.0 liquid-cooling technology and a vapor chamber cooling system that will keep the device from overheating during gaming sessions are other important features that Black Shark 2 will come with.

With regard to design, the Black Shark 2 looks rough and comes on the edges with RGB lightstrip. There is no notch on the phone and is lifted straight from the Apple iPhones with a 3D touch like feature. A fingerprint scanner and X-type antenna + 2 side antenna design are available in the display.

For optics, the phone comes with the main camera of 48 megapixels along with a secondary camera of 12 megapixels and a front camera of 20 megapixels.

Black Shark 2

The phone feature a 4000 mAh battery with a 27W charger that can juice 60 percent of the battery in 30 minutes. It has a triple microphone setup and stereo speakers are included. The smartphone is 8.7 mm thick and weighs 205 grams, competing against a few months ago launched the Asus ROG gaming smartphone. The onboard storage of the smartphone uses the storage standard UFS2.1, which is slower than the onePlus 7 Pro UFS 3.0.

Black Shark 2 will take on OnePlus 7 Pro for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant priced at Rs 49,999.
