The series of Oppo Reno is now official in India. Oppo launched the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Oppo Reno at an event in New Delhi on Tuesday in the country. The smartphones are the first to be announced in China last month in the new Reno series. The series comes with a youthful philosophy as it aims to attract a young demographic by offering attractive and premium phones at affordable prices.

Among other things, the Oppo Reno and Reno 10x Zoom brilliantly displays, pop-up cameras, and premium glass design. Of the two, the Reno 10x Zoom is the Snapdragon 855 chipset powered flagship model. It also gets a triple camera set up while a dual camera system is available to the regular model.

The Indian price of Oppo Reno 8 GB + 128 GB is set at Rs 32,990. Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom flagship is priced from Rs 39,990 for the variant 6 GB + 128 GB and Rs 49,999 for the version 8 GB + 256 GB.

The phones of Oppo Reno will be available through both online channels such as Amazon India and Flipkart as well as offline channels. The Oppo Reno series is starting today for pre-orders and both phones will go on sale as of June 7.

The Oppo Reno launch offer includes 5% instant discount on EMI with Axis Bank Credit and Debit Card, 10% instant discount on HDFC Credit and Debit EMI transactions, No Cost EMI up to 12 months, and Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection at Rs 399, among others.

Similar designs come with the Reno 10x Zoom and Oppo Reno. Both of them offer nonchalant displays that vary in size subtly. The top-end Reno 10x Zoom model has a 6.6-inch FHD+ display (2340×1080), while the regular Reno has a 6.4-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) display. The phones both sport AMOLED panels and support a fingerprint sensor in the display. They also offer a 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and protection for Gorilla Glass 6. They also get a unique shark fin-designed pop-up camera rising in 0.8 seconds.

There’s also a 3D Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back of the Oppo Reno phones. They are available in the colors of Jet Black and Ocean Green. Under the hood, the regular Oppo Reno is powered by an Adreno 616 GPU octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset, while the Reno 10x Zoom is powered by an Adreno 640 GPU flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC. The Oppo Reno is available in a single storage version of 8 GB + 128 GB, while the flagship phone is available in two variants-6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB.

The other big difference between the two phones apart from the screen size is the number of cameras. The regular Oppo Reno is set up with a dual camera while the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom model is set up with a triple camera. The Oppo Reno sports a Sony IMX586 sensor with 48-megapixel f/1.7 and a secondary camera with 5-megapixel f/2.4. The Reno 10x Zoom receives a primary 48MP f/1.7 camera, an ultra-wide-angle 8MP f/2.2 camera, and a 13MP f/3.0 camera. The phone of the flagship supports 10x hybrid zoom and digital zoom up to 60x. It is also the only model for the main camera to receive OIS support.

The Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom both come with a selfie camera of 16 megapixels f/2.0. The Android 9 Pie ships the Oppo Reno series with ColorOS 6 at the top. The Reno measures 156.6×74.3×9.0mm and weighs 185 grams, while the Reno 10x Zoom weighs 215 grams and measures 162×77.2×9.3mm. The regular Reno houses a battery of 3,765mAh and the flagship model packs a battery of 4,000mAh. Both phones support fast charging of 20W VOOC 3.0.
